BELIZE HAS BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF 60 POVERTY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OVERSEAS TRAINING FROM WALMART IN THE USA! A MUCH APPRECIATED PHILANTHROPY.

Produced by the Belize Development Trust

Some 60 impoverished students educationally worthy, have been to the USA studying on Walton Scholarships from Walmart Stores in the USA. They must return to Belize and put their education to good use.

Don Soderquist, the Vice Chairman of Wal Mart Inc. gave a speech in the port town of Belize City this week explaining how successful the program has been for Belize and how happy that the Walton Scholarship people have been with it.

What can you say to such charitable generosity from a small cash deficient little country? THANKS! Doesn't seem adequate does it? There are some really great people in the USA. Definitley this program is run by the best the USA has to offer.
