Baby macaw peeking out of its nest, waiting for its family to return
This baby macaw had its mom, pa, and fellow sibling fly away the day before. His parents had fed him, and then they took his sibling out on its first flight.
They flew a small distance, then rested. Then took off for a major flight.
This little fellow had to wait until they returned. He was ready for his first flight also, but wan't about to venture forth until his family returned.
The red arrow in the second photo shows how the macaw makes its nest in the hollow of a tree. You can barely see the macaw in there. (Different location and bird than the top photo)
