The main level #19A is 625 square feet. It is a one-bedroom apartment with a large living room/kitchen area and a roofed front porch. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the living room has a full-size sofa bed, so it readily accommodates four persons. There are separate bathroom entrances from the bedroom and living area.

The upper level #19B is 550 square feet. It is a two-bedroom apartment with a queen-size bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. The living room has a full-size futon bed, so it readily accommodates up to six persons. There are separate bathroom entrances from the bedroom and living area.

The two apartments can be joined for a larger family or group. Both apartments are in premium condition, including kitchen, bathrooms, furniture, woodwork, etc.

The daily rate per apartment includes maid service alternate days. There are no additional charges, but there is a 9% government tax. The normal deposit is 3 nights, with balance due 30 days before arrival. Payment is by credit card, or by money order or check mailed to our office in Chicago.

We are 100 yards from shopping, and a 5-minute walk from restaurants and other night life. Although we are in San Pedro Town, the Paradise Villas compound is secure and quiet. There is no food service in the compound, but numerous restaurants are close by.

The Paradise Villas is located very near two of the best water sports guides in Belize, Billy Leslie and Ched Cabral. We recommend them for diving and all other water sports purposes. The big reefs are directly in front of San Pedro, just outside the barrier reef which is about one-quarter mile offshore. We have installed a small artificial reef at the end of our dock, and it is well established with fish. In any event, there are many great snorkeling and fishing areas within a 10-minute boat ride. We can hook you up with an excellent guide.

Numerous day-tours are available, both to mainland locations such as Mayan Ruins, and to outer reefs if you are interested.

LIVING IN UNIT 16: WHAT'S THERE, WHAT TO BRING, WHAT TO SHOP FOR

We provide towels, sheets, and maid service alternate days (or less often if you prefer).

Kitchens are equipped with high quality equipment: stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and glasses, dishes and tableware. Groceries are available at north end of Front street (100 yards away), or from numerous other food stores in town.

There are wall-mounted air conditioners, but in winter you probably won't want to use them. Both units have cable TV, with a good array of US channels.

For phone service, the Belize Telephone Co. office is 50 yards away. If you have a critical need for a phone in the apartment, talk to Bob Howard or Nellie Gomez.
