Grumpy and Happy Suites is a house for rent in San Pedro, on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize with its own large and deep private pool. Only guests of the villa use the pool. Grounds are beautiful and full of birds. Iguanas are a common site.. Located in a very quiet residential neighborhood 1.5 blocks from the beach (see aerial photo). Children are welcome and there is some sleeping facilities for toddlers and younger. Children 12 years of age and younger are FREE.
The house is divided into 3 luxurious and fully equipped suites which we like to call Villas. Each Villa is sound proofed and has it's own private entrance. Villa One, Villa Two, and Villa Three can be rented individually or in combos for larger groups.
Villa One has 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and is 3000 square feet. Villa Two has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and 2400 square feet. Villa Three is a 1 bedroom with 1 bathroom and 700 square feet. Please view the Photo Gallery and Floor Plan pages of each Villa.
This is not a hotel or resort type accommodation with small rooms. This is a very spacious home away from home. Roomy and comfortable as well as economical. House keeping and a cook is available on request.

Pool is 30 X 50 feet and 10 feet deep with surrounding privacy fence. All the villas have Cable TV in the Living Room's (as well as the bedrooms), screened and private porches and a fenced back yard with a picnic table for your pleasure. Villa 1 and 2 have a washer and dryer. All have telephone and WiFi internet access. Each kitchen is fully equipped. Towels and linens are supplied. All are Air conditioned.
The villas are close to grocery stores, restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach is contiguous. Right next door is a beautiful green-belt that is home to a wide variety of birds, iguanas and other interesting wildlife.
A pier is close where you can shore fish or be picked up and dropped off for tours and Blue Hole or local diving adventures. The beach next to the pier is one of the best in San Pedro.
Jolene and I , the owners check you in personally and can arrange all your activities. We are available at any time during your stay if you need anything, have any problem or are seeking advice. Comfortable surroundings, personal care, quiet neighborhood, beautiful grounds and large living spaces make this a treasure for your holiday and the economical pricing makes it affordable.
Jolene and I are Canadians that moved to Belize 9 years ago and made it our home. Last year we were honored to become Belizean Citizens. Our registered company name is Grumpy & Happy.

The Villa is well suited for Dive Training or those wishing to try diving. Jolene and I are both Licensed guides and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers. There are training aids and the pool is deep enough (nearly 10 feet) for diver training. Only guests in the villa use the pool for dive training if they choose.
With PADI's new E-Learning program ( Click Here for full details) There is no longer any need to do classroom work on your holiday. You can do that part on line at home. When you arrive at the Villa you can complete your confined water training right in the back yard where the pool is located. Then Jolene and I will take you for your Private certification dives in our own boat.
TRY Diving in the pool or on the reef under our supervision.
PRIVATE SNORKELING TRIPS ARE done in our own boat (picture at right) BOOK EARLY! We have designed a special ladder that goes deep into the water for easy entries and exits.

San Pedro Town center is only a short drive by the most popular means of transportation, golf cart!
We can arrange to have one delivered to your door. You can also walk to town in about 15 minutes along the beach or rent a bike. On week nights the Front Street (picture at right) is closed to vehicular traffic after 6pm. Locals and tourists find this a great time to meet each other.

We specialize in Private Charter Snorkel Trips - Resort courses (Discover Scuba Diving) - and Scuba Certifications (PADI Referrals) for our guests. Our 26' Boat "Grumpy&Happy" has a special ladder for easy access in and out of the water and a bimini to shade you from the hot Caribbean sun.
