The Isla Bonita Calendar Girls 2006
"Providing financial and educational opportunities to the children of Ambergris Caye, Belize"
How did the Isla Bonita Calendar Club come to be? Like many things it was one man's dream… When "Pirate" Jim, a local resident, watched the movie "Calendar Girls", he thought it would be fun to do a calendar of our own here on Ambergris Caye. "I wonder who would be willing to take part in a project like this" was his first question. It seemed that several ladies wanted to be included and when they met to discuss the project they decided that the money raised should be put to a worthwhile cause. The problem of educational needs was the most prominent, and therein was the basis of their ambitious drive to ensure the calendar proceeds would be put to their best use. The Calendar Club's hope is that you enjoy the calendar and help to make this dream of "Pirate and his Wenches" come true.

A Great Success
Thanks to the hard work and determination of the Isla Bonita Calendar Girls Club, the students of Ambergris Caye were the beneficiaries. Additional Classrooms were funded at the San Pedro Roman Catholic School, funding was provided to help build the Holy Cross Anglican School in the San Mateo subdivision and a tuition fund was established to help ensure that all children have the means to attend school among other things. All in all, the 2006 Isla Bonita Calendar Girls project was a great success - which paved the way for the project to begin again for 2008.
The 2006 Calendar Girls would like to proudly thank our sponsors and volunteers who make the calendar possible. Without their contributions the Calendar Club would not be possible.
