I like these they look great,...you asked
The top one where you used two lights in frount, the light on subjects left should be higher (notice the position of your lights in their eyes), See the shadow of her nose, bounceing the main light with a white card back into the subject is always a garantee of a soft fill and a good replacement for the secound light.
the bottom photo with the one mainlight is higher and flatters subject. I like the rim light you got from putting your secound light behind.
sorry if thats to much info ,I can't help myself sometimes.
this is cool.

elbert,,
do you have any suggestions of what and where i could find a suitable bounce card in country?
i see i will be adding a real one to my shopping list but something for the short term would be nice.
does angelos press carry white foam board? or maybe the art box in belmopan?

Even the big pros use 'Foam core' its cheap, light and art stores like angelus press should carry it.usually in 4'x8' sheets. sign companys use it as well.
Shooting through an umbrella instead bouncing off is a pro trick also , your doing pretty good.
duck tape and a razor are handy working with it if you don't have a source for real gaffers tape duck tape is fine.
This feels good I haven't thought of any of this in 20 years.Thanks.

shooting your head at a full 4x8 sheet of foam core to bounce the light onto your subject is some fine quality light, light stands on each side of the 4x8 that are sand bagged should be fine support.
