I'm fascinated with these. For years they where very illusive to me and now they are here every day.

Elbert, do they come to your feeder?

Yes thats whats so cool . I looked for years all over for these guys and now they are in line for Bubbas dog food.

It was distressing for me to see one of these guys and a green jay in small cages last week. They were both in a small village in central Mexico. The green jay enjoyed being talked to and he made the most enchanting sounds in response. I'm sure he didn't enjoy being in his cage, though.

I haven't seen a green Jay yet.

all i have here are the brown jays,, at least that iv'e seen.
and they are brutes! they bully their way to the chow hall and can cart off an entire big hunk of papaya by them selves!!

I've seen a couple of them "in flight" here south of town...but never stayed still long enough for a photo...nice work...gotta build that feeder.

If you have water out and food they will come , Its just like cold beer and divemasters

not sure...it's much more peaceful up there.....pretty loud down here...in case you didnt see my letter to the editor today.
