Description
A week later and not much has changed. It appears they had materials delivered because we saw one pile of new sand and some 3/8 rebar that wasn't there before. The real surprise was that we were stopped when we got of the boat, and were handed a phone with Sammy Gomez (the absentee constructor aka local guy 40) on the line. He told us that we were not allowed on the property, unless accompanied by their agents. When I asked him who they were, so we could contact them, he said he couldn't tell that now. We took some pictures standing on the queen's beach, as they would not allow us on the site, even after I told him that we were asked to check the progress by investors and potential new buyers. Something very secret must have been going on there. From the beach we counted about 3-4 workers, but there seemed to be some more activity than last time - I would say 8 workers tops! (and the sun was shining) When you check the photographs, you will see that almost no progress has been made since last time.

I have been watching the sparks fly on this topic for a while now. I have no dog in this hunt so I have remained silent but I must admit that not allowing visitors and not revealing the "agents" names and contact info sure seems shady to me.

LIABILITY... if anyone gets hurt on the site, they will be the first to sue these folks. On each project I have visited on AC, I have always made an appointment and was shown the product with a representative of the company.

If someone wants to know the facts, why not call the company. www.sapphirebeachbelize.com has all the ways to reach them.

My friend was well received by these people. When she wanted to sign up, they told my friend to "go home, think it over, and get back to us." Seems like soemone has an ax to grind here.

Being told by a worker on the site, during thier lunch brake, who speaks little English, to call for an appointment does not qualify as Shady.

Prudent is the word.

Look at the FACTS. What is being said is the "opinion" of someone who LOVES to engage in other people's business. This is a person who thrives on hurting others. Like the banker said when I called him to check out the recent allegation, "have anyone call me who has interest in Sapphire"... Justin of First Caribbean Bank is who I spoke with this afternoon.

What is being said about this project is simply not factual. Taking a picture that do not show ALL the buildings is playing loose with the truth. But it seems that is what Pedro thrives on.

Go see it for yourself... but show some respect and make an appointment. That is, IF you really want the TRUTH.

I tried to this morning -I went to your office in The Coldwell Banker Building-there is no office there-you advertise this on your web site -so let us agree that was a total waste of time-when I arrived and trust me the workers were looking out for me)I was told to stay on the beach that is fine-the beach was being raked and looked great-Sam,when I talked to him on the phone, did not know who the agents are-interesting-he and his workers have every right not to allow my friends and I on the property-I announced last night(on message board) that I was going up today and this morning a couple of new picture were put on your web site-remember in previous posts I was told to go up and see the amount of work completed-when I went and said it is not very much for 7 months work I was told I had an axe to grind-I am told that this week as well,in your last post -I DO NOT- I estimate that since last week around 6000 bzd of rebar/sand and cement have been taken to the site-this is nothing to complete 26 sold units-last week we were told there are over 30 workers with more coming (8 today) -they are not there and even if they were there is nothing for them to do-Danny2 told us he could lay 400 block per day -you only have 500 block there-100 less than last week -is Danny2 wrong and it takes longer to lay block at SB than anywhere else.

Pedro, have you looked at your own pictures? I love them because they prove my point about how there is a lot of progress up at SB, especially when you combine your pix with the SB blog pix. I am starting to think that you, personally, are in a little pissing match with DP or SB, or your own development(which you have one, don't you?) is threatened by SB's success. What's up with you? If you're so worried about investors money up at SB, your pix are actually making me feel very good about my investment up there. The development looks great. Why are you not turning your attention to other developments on the island, like a few on the west side, where huge deposits are being made and no progress can be seen? Why are you picking on SB? Talk about the truth. Yeh, I'd like the truth from YOU.
