I made a long list, from the first dive, of things I can do to make a better underwater photo. Trying to make the best of a bad experience.
# 1 on the list was get a bifocal Mask. Reading the tiny display is impossible for me with out it.
White balance card is next. Manual white balance to adjust the color for the depth is going to make a difference, putting red filter in from photo Shop isn't the same.
I'm gone just hafta go again today ...darn.

..... which is what I wanted to know (I do recognise a turtle!). Many current better u/w cameras have an auto white balance setting that adjusts for being under water. Adjusting it yourself underwater is cumbersome and a pain in the rear end.

Its the new Sea and Sea 10 meg pixel.
I'm just learning all the controls. Lots and lost of buttons.
Peter your right auto w/bal. is a great feature .I was trying to discover why the photos I was taking all where so poor and I think I got it right yesterday.
Their is a special underwater program on the menu that has preset the optimum features for underwater I was overlooking.
The SS10megpix has fiber optic flash sinc. cord to eliminate a couple of more places the camera can flood. Can't wait to get a good Photo to show off but its still a clumsy tool for me.
I have a friend that is raising the bar for underwater photographers and I'm inspired.

Amazing pictures indeed, but of course taken with some pretty impressive equipment. I'd like to post a couple of images here, but I'll probably have to post them under another thread.
