Spider Lily

Some days after a rain I'll step outside and smell the most wonderful lily perfume coming from them ,just wonderful. They serve a function of holding the sand in place against the wind erosion.

The pink ones smell is much stronger than the white, but they do have a great scent. They multiply and grow quickly. They are a tuber type plant are are easily split up and transplanted.

Can I purchase a whole bunch of this to plant all around my property somewhere on the island?

It grows everywhere, Its a bulb to transplant be sure and cut of all the top and just plant the bulb.
Old timers on the island used it to make property lines and its spread over the entire island.

Elbert, surely you are not suggesting for BNU to 'acquire' plants from an empty lot?

Its a curse! People will pay you to remove it.

Belize-n-us when you are ready I have legal access to tons of the white ones. Bring your shovel - oh, I suppose you can borrow mine!

I don's have any of the red/purple ones - they are quite different and tend to grow more like a bush. They are really pretty and grow like weeds.
