I loved to watch the Great Kissadee eat the sea grapes. He would get one, tilt his head back and if it was too big to swallow let it roll back to the front of his beak - just like in your photo. Then he would slam it, several times, against the branch he was perched on, roll it back and try again. I have seen them take four to five times to get it small enough to swallow. I always wondered how it made it through the digestive system and I am sure he was responsible for planting any number of new trees; fully fertilized.
