Description
We ran across this dog tonight downtown.

She was by Manelli's Ice Cream. She ran over to us and then got into our cart.

She seemed lost and is pretty skinny. We have been talking about going to Saga and getting a dog for a while now so this seems to be a sign to take her.

She has on what I think is a flea collar and is pretty much pure white.

I am going to try to post a picture in the picture section....If this is your dog or anyone you know's dog please let me know and I will bring her back.

Otherwise, with the upcoming poisoning, we will just keep her as our own.

Thanks!

that dog was running the beaches last year when I was there... Would just spend all day going up and down about a mile and a half stretch. we fed her some. REALLY sweet dog. Hope she either gets home, or gets a new home with you.

I know that dog. She adopted a couple of friends of mine last month. She was also running around the beach last year when I was there. She's a very sweet dog and survives on her charm it seems.

Thanks for keeping her safe.

I believe that dog has been wishing for someone nice to come along and rescue her for some time. Often tourists leave a dog with a flea/tick collar as a parting gift but it doesn't mean they are owned.

Take it as a sign!

Is that the dog that Sarahvich was looking for?

Looks like a very sweet dog that was around Conch Shell every morning last month?

Pug, that is the same dog that was at Conch Shell last month the entire time I was there. She is a sweetie.

I'd say keep her - I have a feeling it might be the same dog that used to way back hang out by the chinese owned bar/"casino" on the corner by the alley going to Cholo's (across from Pelican Properties) -- I did also think it was Fred's dog so much so I brought it "back" to him! Of course found out it was not Coco but could be her sister. Anyways, the dog does not even hang out there anymore, every time I see her she is always wandering and hungry/skinny/searching if you know what I mean - if she has owners that care (doubtful), they'll try to find her through Saga and other means, so I would go for it if I were you - give her a great home she deserves it!!!

"Droopy eyes and ears" sounds like Bob Marley, a delightful young hound who likes to roam the beach mainly in that area. He belongs to Sharon, who I think now works part-time at Limes, and she knows how important it is to keep him safe over the next few weeks.

Seems there are a good number of dogs on the island that belong to people but are sans leash or fenced yard and could be at serious risk if the eradication goes forward. Hopefully at least there will be some notice as to when and where it will occur so these pets can be rounded up and protected. Any updates on the when and/or where?
