I've been trying to find a name for them, not good to eat kinda fruit but not fleshy.i've been asking Tour guides but nada.

I'm sure few people ever get to see these beautiful creatures, let alone take such a great photo. Congratulations! and Thanks!

There a few (count on one hand maybe), trogans of some sort that can be seen in south Texas. I think I read here that AC is some fifty miles beyond the resplendant quetzal's territory, or did it say they are not to be seen in Belize at all?

They where in Southern Belize about 80 years ago, but now retreated to the Guatemalan side of the Mayan Mountains.

no joke - we've often heard those fruit/nuts referred to as "horse balls" - which is just what they look like. (from WiWords: Horse Balls - Noun - A fruit that grows in western Belize that resembles a small breadfruit but with a white sticky discharge when cut.)
