Island resident and Maya Island Air pilot Nigel Flowers, 33, of Belize City was found dead Sunday morning in his apartment.

Co-workers and friends became concerned about Flowers and discovered his lifeless body at approximately 10:30AM. Dr. Giovanni Solórzano was called to the scene where he estimated that Flowers had died of natural causes approximately seven hours prior to being discovered. Family members have been notified and Flowers body has been sent to Belize City for a post-mortem exam. No foul play is suspected.
