i am no photoshopper.
i added a photo of the clamp i use to hold a flower.

folks need to get over photo Shop! Nothing wrong with it, Its a tool like all the others.
I was trying to join a bird photo group and they had a rule that nothing could be submitted that had been to Photo Shop. I don't do anything that doesn't go through photo Shop.
So they disqualified my photos!
Very silly and hopefully archaic thinking.

every digital photo can benefit from some 'post processing'.
photoshop gets a bad rap, in my idea anyway, from people using it to try to dupe you into thinking you really got that shot.
and see where it leads? scubalady assumed i digitally added a plant.

i feel it has got to the point, with me anyway, if i see a photo and hear the word photoshop associated with it, i feel there is always that possibility.
someone real good with PS can make a convincing photo of the Pope eating pot brownies with the students at the high school!

I hear you. PhotoShop has become a verb and one with a negative connotation but I'm hopping the public will grow out of it.
We create images and whether we did it with a tooth brush,spray can or PhotoShop shouldn't make a difference.

No disrespect intended. Creativity abounds in all formats.

When I got active in an underwater photo club (back in the days of slide film) I was shocked to learn what was being done in the photo labs. We had a lot of difficulty outlining what would be acceptable in contests. Naturally slides were the purest and surest display of what was actually captured in the camera.

But as SLR's became more in use the opportunity for manipulation increased. What was finally decided on was that one would be allowed to do any thing in the computer that could be done in a lab to a print: 1) crop, 2) adjust contrast & brightness --- humm I can't remember if we allowed spotting?

Anyway - bottom line is 'End Product!'
This obsessive hobby of ours should always be fun – and maybe we should play more.
