Belizean recording artist Lisa Pike has released her latest single just in time for the September celebrations. Pike spoke with Love News about the song.

"My latest release is called I am a Belizean, it's freshly released for the September celebrations. It is all about being proud of being a Belizean and wanting to represent and feel good about so many wonderful things about Belize. It is also a soca song, however not the maybe traditional, up tempo, carnival jump and wave type song that a lot of people are used to hearing. It is more in the groovy, soca genre which is a little bit more mellow but party music still and definitely something positive and energetic still."

Lisa Pike has distinguished herself on the international music scene by performing alongside several top names in the Caribbean music industry, including Byron Lee and the Dragonnaires.
