We cannot thank Keith Richard Kremlick and his family enough for their effort in saving a howler monkey found at Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary (CBWS) on March 7th, 2013. Keith and his family found the monkey on a trail at CBWS covered with ants. Noticing that she was still alive and that no other monkey was in sight, they took her to the CBWS office and handed her over to the staff there. The guys at CBWS quickly reported this to the head office and from there all the arrangements were made to get her as quickly as possible to the Primate Rehabilitation Center in Sarteneja.

With a little luck and lots of love, she was carefully and quickly transported to Dangriga town. We were happy to get permission for her to board the last Maya Island Air flight at 4:45pm en-route to Belize City. She was picked up in Belize City and is now in the careful hands of Paul & Zoe Walker and their dedicated volunteers! After arriving at the rehabilitation center in Sarteneja, she was dubbed the name "Little Bean". The Belize Audubon Society thanks Nicacio Coc and all his staff at CBWS for their dedication and assistance in saving Little Bean. Sincere thank you also goes to Paul, Zoe and their volunteers.
