San Pedro High School (SPHS) is hosting its annual Miss SPHS Pageant on Saturday, April 30th at the Angel Nu�ez Auditorium. The four contestants up for the title are Norma Lopez, Lisandra Novelo, Faith Edgar, and Janelly Aban. For the last two years Sheila Chi has been holding the title, and is ready to pass the title of Miss SPHS 2016-2017 to the winner of this year's pageant.

The pageant will start with an introduction of the contestants, after which the young ladies will showcase a presentation portraying Indian gods. They will then model professional/business attire, sportswear, casual wear, evening wear and then face the tough, question and answer session.

Prior to the pageant, the contestants will be presented to the community when the candidates are officially sashed on Thursday, April 14th at Hidden Treasure Restaurant at 6PM. During the official presentation sponsors will be recognized, and according to Ramsey one more sponsor is needed. "SPHS is humbly asking for a business to step up to the plate," he commented.

The high school is also asking local businesses for donations towards this event. They can be in the form of a gift to give to their participants. Anyone who is interested in donating a prize or becoming a sponsor, can call 226-2045.
