While the flood waters at the port of Belize City have gone down, the
upriver villages of Burrel Boom, Crooked Tree, Hattieville, Flowers Bank,
and Lemonal are still under three feet of water.
Bedford trucks can get through, but small vehicles and the people are
confined to the villages and also eating up their supplies.
Have received no word of the Mennonite enclaves in their valley. It is
presumed they also flooded?
