First time post, first trip to AC. Needless to say, we are very excited! Question: What kind of weather can I expect on AC the first 2 weeks of July? Are the weather reports from Belize City similar to the what I can expect out on AC? Thanks for the help.

Generally the temps are lower on the caye, and we get less rain.

Thanks! How long do the showers on AC typically last that time of year?

Tropical showers are usually short but intense... 5 minute downpours up to hour long rain.

Mountlake, I see you're from Seattle. My wife & I live in Sequim and will be in San Pedro for the first two weeks in July also. We bought a condo that's under construction and are going down to pick out tile, etc. What date are you leaving Seattle? We're flying out on June 29th.

Loansum, Yes we leave on the 30th, staying at the Victoria House until the 9th. Then over to the mainland & Blancaneaux Lodge for a few nights.

I take it you have been to AC a few times before?

I was there 1st week of July last year. Usually one short downpour per day - maybe 5 minutes, maybe an hour. Nothing that would keep me from going in July again. You'll see the rain clouds coming; when you see them I suggest you find a bar and enjoy.

Montlake,
Yes, this will be our fourth trip. We're going again in October & January. Can't get enough of Isla Bonita! Our condo will not be finished until May of next year. Things move very slowly on the island. That's why we like it so much. Believe me, with your living in Seattle and experiencing that hectic traffic, you will not want to leave AC!
