I THINK i have my choices of where to stay narrowed down to 4.....I know...not a very good job of narrowning!

I would like to be at least within easy biking distance of town.

have at least a small fridge

Have a pool from which you can see the water (I am assuming that it is hot enough when laying out that you will want to take a dip and since the ocean isn't the best place to do that, I don't want to have to walk far to the pool) The Palm's and Banana Beach don't seem to have this. In fact that is the only thing keeping me from Banana Beach is the pool enclosed in the courtyard. Seems it would be hot and with no view.

I don't want tooooo touristy of a place (I hear Ramon's can be that way)

The less kids the better

Ok....so here are my choices so far

Banana Beach
The Palms
Ramons
Sunbreeze

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Add Xanadu to your list of choices to consider. They have free bicycles and kayaks. The pool is very nice and the owners are terrific. laugh

Thanks Gela!!!

I had ruled that one out because it didn't seem like the one bedrooms had a porch or balcony. Am i wrong?

Consider the Blue Tang Inn. Nice pool very close to the water.
On the north edge of town, walking distance to everything. Papi's, Caliente, Fidos, Elvi's, Stained Glass Pub and my favorite for rum punch, Cholo's Sports Bar!!
Nice kitchens in the rooms.
We have stayed there twice and coming back in Jan with 2 other couples. No kids.
Grocery store a block away.
Not touristy at all.
The staff is great, can arrange anything you want, just ask Fanny.

I would recommend VH. Great Pool. The casita's have a small refrig. Easy bike ride into town and the only kid we saw was the owner's grandkid. Also, very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Great restaurant as well.

thnkart - the one bedrooms at Xanadu have a porch area with a table, chairs and hammock. Everyone sits out and has their Belikins late afternoon as the contemplate what they want to do in the evening.

a few more questions about Xanadu. About how far is it from town and since there is no restaurant or bar, what ones are close by that you liked?

thanks again!
