My wife and I are staying at the Mayan Princes for a few weeks in March. My college age daughter might come down for a week so I'm looking for ideas where she can stay that wouldn't be too far from us but still reasonably priced. Bed and a shower is about all that is needed. Appreciate any suggestions.

Ruby's is just a few blocks down the beach and Marth's is a couple of blocks over towards the lagoon. Both are simple and on the low end price wise. I have never been in Martha's but I have Ruby's - simple but clean and convenient.

Don't forget Lily's. It's right next door to the Mayan and just about the same price as Ruby's.

I've stayed at Ruby's and Lily's. Either one will fill your needs. Lily's is just closer.

compare apples-to-apples (like A/C rooms) and they are quite comparable.

i see what you are saying about airconditioning, if you compare the fact that one has a/c, other doesn't they are perhaps comparable. I think what SPL is saying is that Rubys fits their need. They requested " Bed and a shower is about all that is needed"

I've never used a/c here in March.
