Frontier's Mexican Fiesta: New Service to Cozumel, Added Service to Its Other Five Mexican Destinations (June 16, 2005)
Sixth Mexican Destination Strengthens Frontier's Position as Denver's #1 Airline to Mexico

DENVER - This spring, Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) became the first U.S. carrier to ask the Department of Transportation (DOT) to fly non-stop, year-round service from Denver to Cozumel, Mexico. With U.S. government approval now in hand, Frontier is ready to welcome passengers to reserve seats on its new service beginning Friday, June 17, 2005. This service commences December 17th, 2005. Frontier will offer three flights each week with operations on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

In addition, Frontier will increase its service to other destinations in Mexico as follows:

Frontier will resume seasonal service to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo on November 19th, 2005, adding an additional weekly flight versus November 2004 for a total of three flights per week.
Frontier will increase service from Denver to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta beginning December 17th, with daily service plus an additional Saturday frequency during peak periods to both destinations.
For the first time Frontier will offer three flights each day to Cancun from Denver during the peak winter holiday periods, effective December 17. This represents a substantial increase in Frontier's Cancun service from Denver and is part of the Company's growing Cancun operation, which includes non-stop service to Cancun from St. Louis, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Nashville and Denver.
"Frontier is proud to be the carrier of choice between Denver and Mexico," said Jeff Potter, President and CEO of Frontier Airlines. "Our new relationship with Apple Vacations, in conjunction with the growing popularity of our unique, non-stop service to Mexico has translated into new customers for Frontier, allowing us to add destinations such as Cozumel and additional flights to the popular resorts we currently serve."

Frontier connects America's premier ski destination to the Caribbean's premier scuba destination
Denver scuba lovers have long sought easy passage to Cozumel, one of the best dive locations in the world. Until this December, Denver passengers' best option to Cozumel is a nonstop Frontier flight to Cancun and a ferry to Mexico's largest island, Cozumel, nestled just 12 miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. However, with Frontier's new service, the 28-mile long and ten-mile wide island will be just one flight away. Apart from scuba diving, Cozumel is world renowned for its dazzling white-sand beaches and the remarkable clarity of its multi-hued azure water. Its spectacular beauty has also made Cozumel one of the most visited cruise ports in the world.

Wonder if these are liveaboard aircraft? Cozumel is rather short of hotel rooms since the hurricane.

Actually Frontier has been around since 1963 - I used to fly them from Denver to Hays, Kansas when living in Denver. There was a few years they closed down or whatever then reopened. It's a great airline.
Fish never hold their breath - Cheers to the Fish!
