Eight of us are headed down to AC on Sat. 28th having rented Casa Tortuga for a week.
What kind of shape is the house & property?
Are there restaurants open? Are any bars serving cold beer w/a satelite dish to watch
the NY Subway 2000 series? What supplies should we bring down? I realize your plate has been full, and my questions are trivial.
But our leader says the trip is still on, and it's only a week out. Any insight would
be appreciated. I will watch this page all day, or email directly at [email protected]
Thank you.

they had almost no damage, check their website at http://CasaTortuga.com and get Peggys phone number. give her a call.
I spoke to her just a couple days ago and she said damage was much lighter than she had expected.

I spoke to Peggy yesterday about her property adn asked her about the Caribe Island Resort, where I am to be going on Nov 3. She told me that her property had minimal damage, most of it wa to the gardens and trees. You will be fine, that place looks so structurally sound. She alos told me to continue with my plans to the Caribe Island that they also had minimal damage. So I will be there right after you! Enjoy

Our leader (Judd) has contacted her, and she said we were good to go. Thank you Marty for your reply.
I have been watching this page since Keith and you seem to be the man. Can you help me out and give me some ideas on where to stay in San Pedro. I am coming down on Thurs.
10/26 before the rest of the crew.
What supplies can/should I bring down?
Any bars open to date?
Thanks for you help

for supplies, you mean extra for the island, or for your trip?

not sure on the bars yet...
for sure i'd imagine by he time you get here.. ought to be able to see the games.

For supplies, I mean both. From what I've read there will be no power until early Nov.
I am happy to help with supplies for the town
just let me know what is needed most, diapers, batteries, etc.
Again thanks, Marty
Yanks in 6!
