The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) Foundation sponsors the prestigious Lowell Thomas Award every year, an award widely recognized as the highest honor bestowed in travel journalism. This year, the competition drew 1,385 entries in 27 categories.
The judges from the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri had this to say about Moon Handbooks Belize:
