1)Will I need skeeter spray this time of year?

2) Who does the Beach bbq ( fish- snorkel- bbq) tours? And if you haven't fished in a really, really long time.. which operator has a really good sense of humor?

3) Where can one get Cuban cigars in AC?

I've been researching the skeeter prob... and it looks as if there is no predictable good time that is skeeter free.
We are trying to figure out if we should come in July, Aug., or Sept...

We were just there (Oct 2 - 10) and definitely needed skeeter spray. But once you spray, no prob.

Many of the dive shops can line up a beach BBQ for you but we've found that some are hit-and-miss as far as the guides go. We usually call Bobby Holiday (sp?) direct on his cell when we get there. I think he works for Ramon - the 'Roxanne' boats.

He's a character but very hospitable, jovial and a lot of fun. We never catch many big fish but always enough to cook (and lobster too) however one time hubby caught 25 lb. barracuda. He's a great cook and food is always great plus he'll cater the experience to your needs / desires.

I can get his cell number for you or when you get there you can go down to the lagoon side where the boats are and ask for him. Have also heard good things about Hillyboo (sp?) but have never tried him.

Capt. Bicho is great. The only time I ever fish is on vacation with Bicho! He's also a great cook!

We were there Nov 5 to 13 last year and definitely needed skeeter spray. SEADUCED was an excellent Snorkel, beach BBQ tour. The day started with a trip to see the Manatees. Then on to Goffs Caye for the first round of snorkeling and lunch on the beach. Unfortunatly we did not get to the second snorkeling stop becuase the weather started to turn and the guides wanted to get every on back. We highly reccommend SEADUCED...
