The winds have picked up and about half the channels on our cable system
are out now. Hope the phone and power hold up better.

Looks like the piers will hold up since the winds have shifted and we are
getting strong bands coming from the north now. The water level had risen
and it seems there would be damage to piers but that only lasted under one
hour or so.

I inspected most of the piers from the channel all the way up to Royal Palm
and they all looked in very good condition.

heard from Caye Caulker about 45 minutes ago that the rains are coming and the wind is picking up. The manmade dredge beaches are gonna be the biggest victims should it continue through mexico and not turn around. http://www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/goes8hurrir.html
clicking on our little spot it's obvious that the bitch has hit land over an hour ago in the Xcalac, Majahual area and not being an expert, the only good thing is that the white extreme areas have been drying up as it hits land. But I suspect the rain is very heavy...
keep on moving honey...that's the ticket...
