standing out on the pier, we figure 20mph max sustained, some slight gusts,
but not more than 30mph...that has changed all day and will probably
change... we can see the darkness to the north, but the south looks much
clearer...to the west, clouds are moving N to S at a rapid clip as if trying
to reconnect with the mother ship...that's just the 6:30 local report from
North Beach
