Congrats on getting things resolved. I am curious though, why others have suggested disputing the CC bill and putting Tropic Air in the middle of this?

I believe they meant to dispute the credit card charges from Maya Air, not Tropic. As they didn't end up flying with Maya, that is the airfare to be returned.

Annielou, (and djean) I just thought I'd pipe in here and say, that from the beginning, I never got the sense that kristykins thought Global Travel was at fault in any way. Further, she has often emphasized that GT had been making efforts on her behalf, with Maya.

In any event, you have handled this most professionally and we also all see the power of the internet at work.

Maya is a good airline. Excellent safety record.

I still think I would feel better if they put pontoons on these planes smile

This confirms my feeling that I would much rather be flying over water than land.

That makes me think twice about flying AT ALL to SP eek Maybe I'll water-taxi it from here on out.

Although , I guess liek you said I'd rather be flying over water, and those things are so small they can just glide down & people can survive.

Don't know the reason why one would want to delay a domestic flight for just an hour when you already had it booked, confirmed with your vacation package, especially with an international flight to catch. I have seen passengers denied boarding because they didn't check in within the required 2 hours. Probably a lesson learned on both sides.

I don't really see the need to go back into this, but the reason we moved it is because the girl at the front desk at our hotel said the 10am flight would give us plenty of time & she said that she could change it for us. We didn't even ASK to change it. She brought the idea up, and we just said okay.

It worked out just fine. Not really sure what lesson was learned here, other than next time I will contact my travel agent for any changes.
