Mango's re-opened yesterday under the ownership of Amy Knox (former head chef at Victoria House and winner of numerous awards.) She's joined by Volticia (formerly of Lagniappe Restaurant and Stained Glass Pub) on the wait staff side.

Four of us enjoyed lunch yesterday and the food was awesome. The burritos are enormous and are more than enough for two. All the portions were sizeable and the prices were very reasonable.

Looks like another winner on the island.

My daughter, Taylor, and her friend went there for dinner last night. They were impressed. She had lobster dinner for BZ $37 and said it was good. Lynn had bacon wrapped shrimp for BZ $30. Each had different rice and loved them.
They liked the atmosphere.

Maybe the new VH chef can win some awards in the coming year.

Has there been total staff turnover or has management remained?

A very nice man, Chuck, is the new owner and I know the waiter was new as well... perhaps Simon has more information about it...

We ordered the Mango Burrito and split it between the two of us. Was plenty for lunch and very tasty!

Does anyone know if Vic and Melanie left San Pedro?

The previous owners (I believe Vic and Mel) are now living on the mainland.

Chuck and Amy (married) purchased the restaurant.

Amy is an award winning chef in Belize and the Caribbean.
