As for what to do for first timers? Well, BayouDiver, what do you like to do besides dive?

Hi all,
it's 126 hours, mas o minos, for me. BayouDiver, you should dive the finger reefs. I've never been one to memorize the names of divesites, but there's a good page with descriptions here . The finger reefs could be called the signature features of diving off of Ambergris Caye. They're very three-dimensional and interesting to dive. You should snorkle at the marine park, too. It's a "required" dive, if somewhat underwhelming. Do an overnighter to the Blue Hole. The day trip sounds grim, with lots of pounding into rough water while transiting to and from the dive site. I did the overnighter and it was a lot of fun, because you get to dive the outer atolls on the way out to the Blue Hole, while taking your time. I mean, you're on vacation so why rush?

I'd also recommend a fishing trip, if you enjoy that sort of thing. It's a good idea to go see a pile of rocks while you're on Belize, such as Altun Ha. The river trip to Lamani sounds like a good tour, as well.

I bought a 'Calendar" from a member of the San Pedro Social Club that I have known since my first trip to SP.

I sat at Crazy Canucks and talked to a women who felt, as I do, that children need more than a basic education and there are enough people on the island to help.

I sit on the sidelines and watch...I am not there often until somebody builds a bridge...I didn't ask...just said I would support it if someone actually pushed for it.

We have watched our investment in 2 Condos (1 orth, 1 south) improve...well not fast but eventually...and have determed that owning something is not enough for San Pedro.
