Hey Mailbu, that pic is of me on our very crowded return Tropic Air Flight. It was just me IRM and the pilot on that flight. I am happy to report I was pretty toasted when I took that pic. mobunny

We call ourselves Gringos. One of the things I like about living here is that you need not be politically correct. All that uptightness can stay in the states. However, respect never goes out of style.
I used to take offense at what one of my friends called himself. He just loved to see me stroke out every time he said it. One day, when we were alone, he explained how different things are here and, as he said, "we call a spade a spade."
There are many times that I regret that I act out. I've had to go make amends more than I care to admit. I am much better at standing up for someone else than I am at standing up for myself.

Deacon: Yes, there is a sign about capacity - in English and Spanish. When it is pointed out they just ignore you. The pull ferry guys are not going to put themselves of being policemen. We pay the police extra to be there from 4:30 to 6:00. They come when they can. When they are there everything is run very smoothly - by exactly the same people that disregard the rules when the police are not there. So, it's not that they don't understand - they do - they just like to see what they can get away with.

ScubaLdy, thanks for making the effort to correct an injustice. I "act out" like you do, when I can "rescue" someone else. At times am not proud of it, but that's how I am. I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one who has had to pull her foot out of her mouth on more than one occasion.

Mobunny, Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has been shoved out of line at Ruby's -- by kids and by adults on their way to work. The sales clerks just ignore it. When I'm on vacation, I'm happy to defer to those in a hurry, but it's still rude. I'm usually diving when others are having their breakfasts, so my Ruby's adventures are rare. Sam

irony...is me just literately thinking just now how peaceful it is on my baloncy this comfortable evening. THEN 1 minute later the Jerry Jeff Walker consert starts right by where I am and my peace is gone!

The music is nice, the money coming into SP is a good thing. Enjoy the free concert, and the next 4 or 5 of them over the next 2 weeks. BTW, what's the weather doing?
