Just came back from a great new place to try. the Arceo sisters have opened a new resturant, called Fogans,. Fogans, were the stove/kitchen of many years ago. The sisters serve traditional Belizian fare at very reasonable prices and the food is wonderful. Happy hour is at 3:00 the girls tell me and you will have a wonderful time chatting with all the locals who come there . try it, you won't be disappointed.

Go to Tropic Cargo, hook a right at the first street, you will see a sign for Madisco, the resturant is on the left hand side of the street. It really is great if you want a taste of the local cuisine and atmosphere. I'[m not sure what nights they have pibil, but norman Eiley is well noted for his outstanding pibil. will ask Suzanne when they will be featuring it on the menu.

El Fogon is owned by Patty Arceo. She has manged to get her three sisters which are all great cooks to join her in this new venture. Mercie, Susanna & Shelly are all doing the cooking. She offers real local belizean foods.
This restaurant was designed to give you a real belizean experience starting with the food and ending wih the beautiful atmosphere!

Thanks Lovey Kra-Z-K and Jparker!
