I am planning on coming to Ambergris Caye at the end of November but have heard that the North winds start then and it gets cooler. Also wondering if the seas get to rough for diving.
What's the scoop?

If by the end of November you mean after Thanksgiving, the weather is usually just fine. There is the odd day of max 6 ft waves but seldom. Rarely big enough to stop the diving. Weather is only occassionaly cool...generally nice and warm.
It's a nice time to be on AC as it is very quiet between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You should be able to get great deals on accomadation.
Enjoy.

I will be there from Nov. 19 - 30, is there a problem with these dates, because I can change them and go somewhere else and come back to Belize when the weather is better.

Hi Bob,

My husband and I have been to AC in mid - end November the past 2 years, and the weather has been fantastic. The first year, dives were cancelled one day out of the 10 we were there. Last year, each day was amazing.

I HIGHLY suggest taking one of the day-long dives trips to the atolls. I also recommend diving with Amigos Del Mar. WONDERFUL crew.

We're returning to AC from 11/18 - 12/2. Hopefully we'll meet you on some dives! If you see a tall gray Brit with a short blonde American - that's us!

~Sue

P.S. Feel free to check out the dive pictures my husband took in November in the Trip Reports area of the site.

Thanks for the info. we'll be there Nov. 19th - 30th and will be diving with Amigos Del Mar as well so I hope we can hook up. I did take a look at your husbands pictures, they were great. We are staying at Banana Beach and I also am of the grey haired variety, but probably not as tall.

Bob
