a friend of mine told me there is also a new place opening for lunch and dinner where the old Palace Casino used to be on the corner a block from the police station. Anyone know what type of food this is?

Entrees from $8.00 Bze to $18.00 Bze, Mains from $20.00 Bze to $35.00 Bze. Moderate price moving towards high-end quality. Prices being held very low for the time being. Fine wines also available in our A/C Bistro styled dining room.

Special very high end food to Michelin Star Level by special advanced order and expensive I am afraid.

spl, Domingo's is the name. Highest priced item on the menu is $40BZ (lobster), most items are in the $8 to $16BZ range. Place was pretty full today and Sunday.

I assume you are the head of advertising for the place. (didn't Pedro write something about not using the board to heavily promote businesses at some point? maybe I read it wrong)
Anyway, very interesting. Michelin Star level? Does that refer to the quality of Michelin tires, or are you seriously promising us a Michelin Star quality restaurant on the island (did you talk to the Michelin guide about this)?

Would love to visit the place, but you have already hyped it too much, so expectations are high, and other people than yourself can write reviews, so be careful not to brag too much. Remember the word humble every now and then and let the food and service speak for itself. Just a friendly advice.

M.T.Purse, like most chefs I have a big ego. I would love to have a very high end restaurant here, the problem is that you need a very high staffing level. I am also not convinced that there is a true market here.

In order to qualify for Michelin everything has to made fresh on the premises and they have some very tough criteria. To do so in Belize would not be the same as doing so in the UK.

For the time being I am trying to do the best I can within a very reasonable budget. I want people to have extremely good food

And, oh I almost forgot Pedro doesn't seem to mind when it refers to something he has an interest in. Plus I ignore what he says in most cases.

Simon, that new place opened? Wow cool, it did not look open when I passed it yesterday. Lobster for $40 BZ is a great price and $8-16 for other things, glad it was brought up as someone mentioned they want to try it and now I certainly will!
