A good friend of mine has moved down to Ambergris Caye to be with her Belizean beau. She is expecting her first child at the end of next month. As a gift, I would like to hire a baby nurse/nanny for a few weeks after the birth to make things easier for them. I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, so should anyone know of anyone or have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I love this board. Thanks in advance for any responses. HB

Thanks so much. I would appreciate any help you can provide me. Though, not sure if it is the same person...she is indeed having a boy, but never heard the name Andrew mentioned!

yes, a boy. She just decided the name this week and it is not forsure. Her father's name. She is from NY and moved here to be with her Belizean fiance. She is 30, same girl?
My other friend just interviewed 15 nannies and it was a hard choice between 3 of them, I am getting together with her on Sunday and will ask her for the two others.

That sounds like her! I don't think she comes on the board v. often. Her name is Ari. I would love to hear about the other women your friend did not choose, also, it would be helpful if you have any idea how much money they would require. Once again, I really appreciate your help! Best,

I had a thought, maybe as the gift you should just give her the nanny gift in a card, let her interview nannies so the person taking care of her baby is someone her and Caco are both comfortable and confident with. Just a thought...I can still refer you the names of the other people you can then send to her.

Hi K, I think the gift card is a wonderful idea! Just checking to see if you spoke to your friend this weekend, and if so what were the details (when they are available, for what times, price?). Thanks in advance for all of your help. My personal email, should you like to use it is [email protected].

Kra-Z-K, Hope all is well with you. I have been wondering whether you had indeed spoke to your friend and have any update? By the way, I may be down there in August; hopefully we can meet in person then! Thanks again for all the help!
