Coba was Ariel Trejo's son in law.
He used to drive one of the water taxis for Capricorn. He was a very sweet guy. We will miss him very much.

Father Drowns off San Pedro's Coast
A couple of mishaps at sea have claimed the life of two persons, one in the waters off Punta Gorda and the other off the coast of Ambergris Caye.

We start yesterday in San Pedro where 18-year-old Rowan Gonzalez, 34-year-old Isaul Coba his 8-year-old son, and three other men went to the reef to spear fish. The boat was anchored and the men got into the water to fish, leaving the boy inside the boat. But shortly after, the anchor line broke and the boat began to drift with the child inside. Frantically trying to save his son Coba began to swim to the boat but the distance was too great and fatigued, he went under and did not resurface. The child stayed inside and the boat drifted to shore near Ramon's Village where a worker there got the boy's story. Aware of the urgency, he took the boat out in to find Coba. But though he recovered the other passengers, he couldn't find Coba. A full search was launched and this morning at 11:20, the body was retrieved from the waters near the reef.

Meanwhile in San Pedro, the body of thirty-four year old boat captain, Isaul Coba, was recovered this morning. Coba had been missing since Tuesday when he, along with four other men, left San Pedro en route to the reef. According to police, Coba jumped out of the boat to secure the anchor but never resurfaced. The victim's body has since been transported to the K.H.M.H.

Better to send your condolences to the family directly than to post them on a message board - the family will not read them.

You can send them to his wife:
