Thanks to everyone that responded to my initial message about our first trip! We will be arriving 3 weeks from today, does anyone know of anything special that is going on from 9/28 - 10/5? What do you think the weather will be and how rainy is it.

I don't know of anything special that is happening then as you will have just missed the Independence Day celebrations. But don't let that stop you celebrating anyway. When you get here, you'll find that having a holiday here can end up being like a party every day. Buy the local papers and have a look. Often events aren't advertised too far in advance or not advertised at all - just word of mouth. You will have a great time.

The weather has been pretty good recently. Very hot during the day and some rain and storms at night.

Glenn~ when you get there be sure to....set your mind to Belize time! You will find that everything is special there, it doesn't have to be an organized function. LOOK at the people, and say hi. SMELL the aroma of rice and beans and the moist ocean air. HEAR the many languages and all the different music whilst cruising on your golf cart. TASTE the awsome One Barrel rum, and the awsome food these people prepare. Have a GRAND adventure! laugh

Glenn Alan, My wife and I are possibly coming down there the first week in October as well. This will be our THIRD trip in 12 months. Trust me when I say that you will not have any trouble finding anything to do. Kerri_Canada was right "time does not exist" As soon as we get here the watch comes off. No Laptop, Cellphone!! It is incredible. When your hungry, you eat. When your tired, you sleep and you pretty much drink Belikin all the other times smile As far as if it rains...It did rain a few days we were there in the past. But our theory (with a Belikin in hand of course) is that the rainiest day in paradise is better than a sunny day at work!!! Have a great time and we may see you there.
