We are coming down in October and are wondering what to expect weather wise. Absent hurricanes, what are the weather and dive conditions generally like?

Usually the best time of year to come! Flat seas, great visibility for diving. Lots closed then but still super nice here!

Alot lot South Texas...we wont be homesick at all when we arrive mid Oct...first timers also and can't wait! Already booked a great fare for end of March...not sure but thinking we might like to check out Hopkins and Placencia...any thoughts on places to stay...beachesanddreams in Hopkins got good reviews and we are looking at kitty's/saks or maybe barnicle bills for placencia....
