We have been busier than one-arm wallpaper hangars!

We are opening the book store on Monday, August 15. I won't have all the stock unpacked and inventoried for a few weeks, but I think I'll have enough on the shelves of interest and to be worth a visit.

Please come by and see us! We are located at the southern end of Pescador Drive, across the courtyard from Mickey's Restaurant. Look for our signs and the purple golf cart named "Barney".

Ah, the bookstore is named "Barefoot Books".

For those of you who know where Simon was, we have Simon's former space...and then some!

Some credits...Smurf painted the mural on the front of our store, the golf cart and the sign on the street. Sam (the cabinet man) built our shelves and check out counter.

Thanks so much!

Sounds great.... nothing goes better with a lazy beach holiday than a ton of books to read at your leisure. I don't suppose you sell stationary as well? Would love to pick up something unique/local to be able to write letters to friends on.

The San Pedro library will also be quite happy to take your books when you're finished. They subsist on donations and it leaves more room in your suitcase for One Barrel on the way home wink

Second alternative - purchase your books from cindyb, read them on the beach, then donate them to the library - less to haul both ways!

I am always in the market for books! I am stocked to the gills currently though.

I donate to the library as well. Especially reference, textbooks and the like.

Lawcucui, you are right...the best of all worlds would be to sell me the books you bring, buy books with your credit and then donate them to the library when you are finished!

I have a small supply of stationary and note cards now and plan to carry more in the future, many are asking for it.

Let me know what you'd like to see and I'll make it happen if I can.

Hello All!

I have finally gotten our online store up and running through ABE books. If you are in country and would like to order online, this is the place to do it. We actually shipped our first order via Maya Air last Saturday.

There's also LOTS of stock in the store that's not listed online.

Here's the link:
http://www.abebooks.com/home/ROSEBERRYBOOKTIQUE/

There's also a link on our web site at:
www.barefootbooks-belize.com

Thanks for tolerating this shameless self-promotion!

Cindy,
The first link doesn't work (I think the "Roseberrybooktique" part is wrong...), but I found it through the link on your webpage. Was hoping to find some by my favorite author - Jodi Picoult.

Good luck with the bookstore. Books are one of my favorite things.

KC,

Thanks! I thought I had changed every place I had noted the link.

The correct link is http://www.abebooks.com/home/barefootbks/

I don't think I've got Picoult in the unpacked boxes. Sorry!

I make a note everytime you folks ask about an author so that I can include them in my buying searches. Thanks!

Cindy,
No problem. I'll bring you some in November (Picoult books). If you haven't read her, you're in for a treat.
