arrive 4/13/01 to 4/20/01. should i go to jungle 1st or 2nd. wondering about easter sunday
on ac heard there wouldnt be alcohol being served. so ac easter weekend or midweek?

i like doing the jungle first, so you can kick back after. i liked banana bank ranch. it isnt luxury, but it is very different!

I agree with Jane, I like Banana Bank- sleeping under a thatched roof and listening to the jungle sounds at night and for adventure, I recommend Ian Anderson's river cave trip-an Indiana Jones experience. Also, horseriding in the jungle at Banana Bank is quite an adventure, not a leisurely ride through the park. Have a look at Ek'tun in Cayo. A wonderful spot!

Good Friday is also a Holiday and many places were closed for Good Friday as well as Easter in San Pedro when we were there. Lots of places were closed for Easter but I remember getting food and drink some place!

DuPlooy's is fabulous!!! Highly recommend it. Look on the other forum on "other parts of Belize." Look for a post entitled Maruba. The website address for duPlooy's is there. Check it out!!! Can't go wrong.

Do you want wild time or just wild jungle. Maruba Resort was on Temptation Island where the girl did the Tequila body shots and had the mud treatments. Their the jungle is as wild as you make it. If your on Ambergris Caye you can be transfered there by boat, about l hour boat ride. It is also an 45min to International Airport so you can stay there your last nights. Visit the ruins, jungle hike, horseback ride, have spa treatments, visit zoo, baboon santuary etc. Alot of different options if you want to see the country of Belize.
