I am considering a couple of resorts and would like to know if anyone has stayed at either, Zanadu and Playador (now known as Exotic Caye)??
Also, I have been told there is a beach called Mar de Tumbo that due to the wave action has virtually little or no seagrass. I am unable to find such a beach on the map. Is it true about Mar de Tumbo & also are there any other beaches that have no seagrass??

Look at today's other Exotic Caye/Playador response. I stayed there a month ago.

Uh oh... ok, I made you all say 'oh no, not again... and laugh with my sandflies and mosquito's questions, but now..... seagrass?!?!? Not the kind you smoke I'm thinkin BUT... this is serious stuff for this blonde with icecubes dangling from my ears!!! (watch it Denny!!lol..) Is the water full of this stuff?? Is it on the beaches? I recall someone saying that the resorts clean their beaches, but...I want to feel the sand squishing through my toes, and nuttin else!!! So... if you can, fill in this tourist to be!! thanx!!!

There is seagrass along the shore... some resorts remove it, even tho I have heard that it is illegal to do so. You need to remember that Belize isn't known for it's beaches... known more for it's diving and ruins.

i had no problems with it on the beach. squish away!!
