About how long does it take to pass customs at BZE?....I've got a brief time between scheduled arrival and catching the Tropic to AC. I'm sure I can find a diversion (seldom met a bar I didn't like), but I don't want to miss that AC flight and find that the next one is booked up. Is it even an issue this time of year?

If you sit up in front seats on your flight down and are only using carry on lugguge, it would take you less than 10 min. to get thru customs, otherwise it will be 20 - 30 min depending on the guys getting your stuff into you... Don't worry-- flight leave every hour from the airport to the island until 7pm.. So relax, have a drink at Jets, and BELIZE IT!!!!! OR have a Belikin, you'll love it...... Rick

I was on a very full flight and got through in less than 30 min. Remember..once you get there you are on BELIZE time...everything sloooows down...be patient..relax...and soak in the wonderful air....Enjoy your time there...I had to remind myself I was there to wind down...no need to hurry.

Thanks, I'm never in much of a hurry, but I only have 50 min. between flights and I am wondering if perhaps I should change my Tropic flight to a later time (I'm not checking bags or carrying contraband!). My concern is the potential for later Tropic flights to be full when I get there....I'm sure I will Belize It!

Not to worry about the Tropic flights. They are like the shuttle buses at the zoo. They keep coming around until everyone is where they need to go.

TA knows when all the flights arrive and arrange to have Caravans on the tarmac to shuttle arrivals. They do it from day in day out experience, and reservations really aren't necessary.

One tip that I found that can mean the difference between a few minutes getting thru Customs or waiting in line forever is to fill out the Declaration forms that the airline gives you as soon as they give them to you. Keep a pen handy... do not wait until you get into the terminal...

Thanks all...great info. I'm with you on filling out declaration forms on the plane. I think I had the only pen on the whole 777 to Tokyo last March. Good news was we had 15 hours to fill it out!!

7 more days!

Can anyone tell me exactly what the declaration form says? (no, I didn't pay attention when my husband filled it out last time). I'm going to have a loooooong list of things -- do they want the total dollar value on the form?

Like I said, I'm gunna write a book when I get done... "How to Furnish Your Home in Belize." [Linked Image] Of course, it will be for the obsessive/compulsive personality only. [Linked Image]

They want name, address, departing city, arriving city, length of stay and they want a list of what you are bringing and a dollar amount.
