I know this is totally off topic but our Kitty is very sick and at the vet since yesterday. It is something very serious and possibly kidney failure. We will know more later. This is terribe timing since we are leaving tomorrow night for AC. Needless to say no more excitment about our trip at this point. Please cross your fingers and send your positive vibes that she will get better fast!!!

MunichChick, my heart goes out to you. I have an older cat that has given me several scares - and her timing is usually when I'm getting ready to leave for vacation (I've accused her of doing this on purpose). The last time, I handed her over to my vet who kept her while I was away. She got much better care than if I were home and working and I knew that they would react quickly to any changes. perhaps you can make similar arrangements?

I will say prayers for your furry family member (and they are just that - FAMILY).

Being an absolute huge cat fan (I have three) and my dad is a vet, I can totally relate. I hope things get better soon.

Gela & Imarquis! Thank you so much for your well wishes and prayers. The Vet is definately the best place for her to be while we are gone.

Strange how family always does this right before a trip. Munichchick I'm so sorry for your kitty. My 16 yr. old son just called me and told me he's been sleeping all day. Raging fever, head ache, body aches and sore throat.
We're leaving Saturday morning...... [Linked Image]
I know just how you feel, although I don't think his is life threatening. Hope kitty recovers quickly.

Debbie!!! I am so sorry your Son is ill. I hope he will get better fast. At least you know he will get better for sure but it is not a good feeling for a mother to have to leave a sick child with relatives. We will need those tidy bowl drinks as soon as we get there to drown our worries. Our 2 Cats and Luigi the little Italian Greyhound are like our children for sure and do have motherly feelings as well. Hang in there my friend.

Munichchick~
So sorry to hear about your Kitty. I just got two kittens from the shelter three weeks ago and can't believe how much my life has changed. I find myself rushing home from work to see them and watch them play with each other. I will definitely keep Kitty in my thoughts!

Here's hoping kitty is feeling better before you leave {{hopes and hugs}}. I too am a sucker for those little fuzzy, heart stealing critters. I'm having problems with me kitty's as well. Actually it's not my kitty's but two of my neighbors. They have taken to using those so called humane traps and trapping my babies and then dropping them off at the humane society. The other day one of my babies was trapped and the guy kept him in that trap for 2 1/2 days. Because the humane society is closed on Sunday and Monday. Let me tell you, if he wasn't an old man I would have round housed him upside of his stupid head. Although he did get a tongue lashing that he won't soon forget. I think I could of made a sailer proud. Boy somethings really burn my ass. But again, I hope things turn out ok for your kitty munichchick.

Lisa, so glad you are enjoying your new kittens!! We have just rehabilitated a baby Robin...it flew this morning. That was very time consuming and exhausting! Munich, try not to worry about him/her while you atre away.,..i almost let my worry over our dog, ruin our first trip!! She was fine when we got home!! If you still have her at home, email me and i'll give you a hint...might be a little too weird for some folks!! C

Munichchick...we're (as Laurie described) huge cat fans, too! The same thing happened
to us when our "Rocky" got sick several days before a vacation...My grandma gave him antibiotics twice a day for 10 days...When we returned...Rocky was "perfect!"....well - almost...(if you know what I mean!)...

I'll pray for Kitty, too! Take care MC...try not to worry...Lynne
