Our first trip to Placencia after exploring AC and other Belize spots was great!!!

The Sea Spray is great, inexpensive place to stay with a bar/restaurant within crawling distance. The Lobsters were fantastic!!!

The Galley is great for Lobster also and the Purple Space Monkey is great place to hang out for drinks and food.

Omar's on the sidewalk is place for great breakfasts and lots of true Belize cooking.

Placencia combines the beauty of the ocean you find at AC with the quaintness of a true Belizean village. We'll go back often.

I forgot the Lagoon Saloon. A real cool spot with fine owners and friendly patrons...it is a don't miss when in Placencia!!!

I was just there at Placeicia and the Sea Spray wanted quite a bit of money for a room. If I recall right, I think it was over $30 US. I stayed elsewhere for $14 US and was just as close to the sea. I especially enjoyed the refrigerator each floor had, because of the importance of keeping beer cold.

My place had hammocks and chairs on the porch so people could sit and chat, read or just plain doze.

I found that if a person has a late flight home, it is possible to that the 6 AM bus out, get to Belize City, take a bus up to the airport road, walk in and still be on time. That bus arrives around 1 PM, so it was no big deal for me to be there on time without spending money on more airfare.
