Now that we're finally in the right area...

LET'S HAVE A PARTY!

Let's plan on Sunday, Sept 2 from 4 - 8 (or whenever). Since Monday is a holiday we (hopefully) won't have to worry about getting up and going to work/school the next morning. As far as we're concerned, kids are welcome (we have a 14 yr old son)... I'll plan on smoking a pork loin (if i can figure out which end to light<G> ) and making a chile relleno casserole. As I said before, if someone else can bring chips/dip, veggie tray or whatever, that would be great! Let's also make it BYO-beer or favorite libation...

Becky, Mark and Mary, Florian and any other Belize Lovers in the area are more than welcome! (but please rsvp so we know what to expect).

Sounds great !!! We'll be there - will confirm either 2 or 3 adults (subject to ones' interpretation of the word adult) via e-mail after we check with our friend. We can bring some patio chairs and chips/dips - side dishes - and of course a cooler of beverages ... We'll even show up early to help decide which end of that sucka' to light if you need help LOL !!! We'll come up with some kind of side dish and let you know...

The countdown has officially begun!! OK, so we're not really nudists... You can bring your camera... You can bring your beer... You can bring a friend... You can bring your pics from Belize (or other Caribe locations)... You can even bring your kid(s)!
I'm making smoked pork loin with jerk seasoning, chille relleno casserole and Key lime pie. Island Junkie is bringing rice and beans and EVERYONE needs to bring their island attitude!

Scott had about as good a Sunday as you did. He was driving home from the grocery store and his neighbors were cutting down a big tree. It landed right on top of his Lexus, doing damage from front to back and totally smashing the sunroof. The neighbor says 'Bad timing man!' Scott just took their name and number and said he'd call tomorrow. Nothing was gonna get in the way of his Belize Lovers Of Tulsa party(BLOT). LOL!

The party was great. Wish you could see the inside of the house in the pics. The house is completely decorated in Carribean art and nicknacks. Scott and Suzzette, your house is absolutely beautiful!! They had some Amy art and some Island Dog stuff that we recognized and alot of other stuff from Bonnaire and the Carribean.

The food was FABULOUS! The Pork Loin and Chile Releno casserole were to die for, and IslandJunkie's rice and beans turned out great as well. And then there were the pantyrippers (Thanks for the recipe Jerry), and things just got better from there. Until the next day. That's when the hangover took over, but it was oh so worth it... keep that Island Attitude !!!

Nice house. Cool pool. Wish I'd been there.

Kid's hand is not so good. Getting a bit of surgery. It's a pretty bad break, in a bad place. He's right handed, and of course it's his right hand, so we gotta do this right. Get the right Doc, so on.

I paid for the first phase of scuba school today. I'm leaving for Florida on 9/17. I hope this ol' dog is up to learning some new tricks!

IJ- I don't know if we are going to let you off that easy. We could at least get together after your Sep. trip and hear about your adventures before you leave Tulsa. Do you have any spare time?

Also, I thought you weren't going in Nov. due to your Sep. trip. We'll be there from 11/17 - 12/1. We'll get to see you again then.

Pirate - we certainly didn't STAY dry! But I'm sure you'd be welcome if ever you're in the neighborhood.

M&M - nope, I'm not going in Nov. Boo hoo. It would be great to be there AGAIN. But I'm headed out next Wed. and will be back Sun. the 16th. We could do something during the week that week, but I leave the following Saturday early (22nd). If ya'll are up for it, I'd be delighted to show off my tan and maybe even try to bring back some Belekin for ya... Probably best for me would be Tuesday or Wednesday 9/18 or 9/19. Well, obviously I'm still in Tulsa. No flights, no idea when. With the upcoming move to Portland, looks like my next trip to AC will be a ways off... boooo hoooo. but, hey, maybe I'll go in November or something now. Not sure if that'll be possible with the new job and all, but we'll see. Anybody want to console me with a panty ripper? :-)

IJ -- Be sure and keep in touch when you get to Portland... maybe we can fly down together next time? Start workin on some "Belize time-off" as soon as you get to the new job!
