Thanks everyone for your advice. It is much appreciated. Okay, so we'll definitely go to Placencia. I did check out B-Bill's on-line, and it looks great, but I'm concerned that it's a little isolated and difficult to get to. We won't have a rental car.

Another question (as I'm obviously asking the right folks!): We're going to have to choose 2 of 3: Monkey River Tour, Cockscomb Reserve, or kayaking on the lagoon. Which of one of these should we pass on? We are having a hard time deciding, as they all sound amazing, but we won't have time to do all three.

Finally, can anyone recommend a good beginner dive site from Placencia? A more advanced dive site?
