Looks like we dodged another bullet. As the local rednecks would say 'Thank God and Greyhound she's gone'

Lili's jumped into the Gulf Of Mexico at a very fast forward speed. She actually intensified over Cuba to 105mph! Some say that is the sign of a bad storm. My instinct says this fast rate will keep her intensity down.
Louisiana or Texas is going to get it tomorrow night!

She's Bombing...
Latest reconnaisance has found a 10 millibar drop in 2 hours to 941mb. She's bombing while already at class 3. This is becoming rather serious. There's a good chance now she'll impact at class 4 and level wherever she hits.
Her track is fairly predictable and a landfall on the low-lying western Louisana coast is pretty certain on Thursday night. The governor of Louisiana has ordered mandatory evacuations for coastal parishes. The I-10 corridor from Houston to New Orleans should be a nasty scene for the next few days.
Stay away from this area from now to well-after it is over because a catastrophic aftermath is now highly probable...
Lili is a monster making a play at another Andrew as I type. An unexpected veer could shift her towards Houston or New Orleans. Keep on your toes...
Edit: As I was typing she exploded to category 4. I think we are now watching history...

Yes, Lili is a Cat 4 now. Say a prayer for the folks on the Gulf Coast. I went through Keith - they are in for a rough time.

Sitting here in Houston... watching... waiting.... trying to decide if I want to drive north this evening. I keep watching the front that is supposed to drive Lili north.... but it looks like it stalled. Whoever ends up with this thing is in for a world of hurt.... I hope it's not me!

We sat here and watcked Keith do his thing on San Pedro and we prayed. We read all your entries until the powere went out and we prayed. It is now time for Lily to come ashore. So please pray for us. It's not going to be pretty.
