I don't know anything about Long Caye and have no opinions.
But since this new group is on Yahoo, I want to warn people about Yahoo and the need to protect yourself against a deluge of spam.
If you sign up for any Yahoo service, be sure to very very carefully visit the "settings" page and make sure that you check the "NO" box for the long list of "do you want us to send you information about" topics. If you don't you are giving carte blanche to Yahoo to sell your email address to every bulk spammer in the world.
And be warned: Even if you do this, you will still be deluged with spam, including disgusting porn spam that you would not want your kids to see. That is because the "fine print" on the opt-out page gives them 45 days to "opt you out," and the first thing they will do is sell your email address.
I recommend that anyone who has ever signed up for a yahoo anything get mailwasher (www.mailwasher.net
) or another spam blocking software program. I also recommend that you set your privacy level at least at medium (if you are using IE 6.X) as this will eliminate cookies being placed on your system from sites that have no privacy statement on file (which includes a lot of the popups).
Yahoo is no longer to be trusted. This is the voice of experience.
I had over 200 spams IN ONE HOUR after I signed up for a yahoo account. And thereafter, from 50-100 a day. Now I have Mailwasher and 99% of them are killed at the server level.
