Back in the early eighties KFC opened a place in Bze City on the corner of Orange Street near the Belize Bank. One reason it did not fly was that Belizeans kept taking back the food because the chicken 'was not done'. Meaning that Belizeans like their chicken well done and the cooking instructions for KFC does not bring it to that point for Belizean tastebuds.

Being exposed to TV would sure spark the initial interest in Belizeans and a lot of people are probably brainwashed by it to think that it American fast food is good. but hell, fast food nowhere can compare to local food anywhere.

McD's are just nasty. No chewing required. just inhale deeply and it will slide down your throat.

Mirab's is nice. It doesn't remind me of a Wal-Mart, though, in terms of either selection or price.
